Keto Stuffing Chaffles
My all-time favorite dish on Thanksgiving has got to be the stuffing. Now we have Thanksgiving Stuffing Chaffles…a great substitute that’s super low carb.
Mini Dash Waffle Maker
The Mini Dash Waffle make is kinda necessary in making Keto Stuffing Chaffles. Each chaffle takes about 4-5 minutes to make. Therefore I have two mini waffle makers for this purpose.
I can make two chaffles at once. Using two mini waffle makers at once cuts the cook time in half. If you have larger waffle maker, just make larger waffles.
The Seasonings
The Thanksgiving stuffing flavors come from the seasoning mix. The marriage of parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme is a classic American Thanksgiving mix.
I use mostly dried herbs from my pantry. It’s easy and always readily available. Fresh herbs would lovely to use if you have them on hand.
I like to soften the onion and celery in the butter and then stir in all the herbs to fully incorporate all the flavors.
Set this herb mixture aside to cool before adding to your chaffle mix
Basic Chaffle
Keto Stuffing chaffles are based on the basic chaffle recipe. A simple mix of egg, mozzarella cheese and a little bit of almond flour.
Chaffles have been a game changer for the keto lifestyle, as they have the texture of bread and are super easy to make. Chaffles also can take on many flavors from savory to sweet.
Work in Batches
As mentioned before on these Keto Stuffing Chaffles, I have two mini Dash Waffle Makers. Each mini dash will cook a chaffle in about 4-5 minutes. By having two waffle makers going at the same time you can cut your cook time in half.
Store Leftovers
Thanksgiving stuffing is typically served as a casserole dish. These Keto Stuffing Chaffles can be cut up into bite sized pieces and served with a spoon of can be served whole.
I like to store my chaffles in a ziploc type baggie in the fridge. Simply reheat chaffles in the oven or microwave to your desired temperature.
