Real Food in The Kellie Kitchen

The Key to our Health

Back in the 80’s when all we cared about was Tab soda and Disco roller skates with our Dolphin running shorts we had no idea the wrong path we would head down for decades. Not an avocado in sight and decades of “eat less and exercise more” shoved down our throats as if there was no other way to be healthy. It wasn’t sexy to be organic or green.

Snackwells and fat free EVERYTHING were the only way to thin and fit. Processed food-like substances touted as “vitamin enriched” and backed by The American Heart Association were (and still are) marketed as a “healthy” diet. But after decades of failure to comply with “Doctor’s orders” and a Nation fatter than ever we have finally started to wake up.

Fat Free and filled with SUGAR

After decades of being shamed into thinking we had failed and that we were ‘non-compliant” the World population has started to take notice and question authority.

Waking up to our Health

There had to be a better way to healthy. We just couldn’t eat any less or beat ourselves up anymore in the gym. How can a Nation be so educated , yet we could not figure this weight thing out? Diabetes and heart disease are running rampant in our country and we just keep taking more and more pills to offset the jumbo pizza and diet coke followed by the vat of Heath Bar ice cream. It was time to take a deeper, harder look at the root cause of all our issues. Lack of real food had to be a major key in the puzzle that had messed us all up so badly. We had to RE-THINK HEALTHY.

Real evidence…

Science has since debunked all the crazy weight loss gimmicks and tricks laid before us. In our quest for bigger, faster, easier or cheaper food and in an effort to be skinnier and more beautiful the American public just threw all caution to the wind. We bought every word the food manufacturers and marketers shared with us. The age old message of “a calorie is a calorie” just didn’t make sense anymore. Sure food-like substances are technically edible, but seriously, do we really think the calories in an oreo cookie are the same as the real food calories in a bowl of broccoli?
